Transient Neurovascular Interface for Minimally Invasive Neural Recording and Stimulation

چکیده

Neural interfaces are used to mitigate the burden of traumatic injuries, neurodegenerative diseases, and mental disorders. However, transient or permanent placement an interface in close contact with neural tissue requires invasive surgery, potentially entailing both short- long-term complications. To tackle this problem, a neurovascular for recording stimulation is developed. This endovascular array has been fabricated facile molding techniques using solely polymeric materials. In vitro experiments have shown promising electrochemical performance stimulation, together lack cytotoxicity cultured cells. The device compatible standard catheters and, once deployed, provide good apposition cylindrical structure mimicking blood vessel. advantage twofold. On one hand, exploitation cerebrovascular system as access route avoids surgeries. other may reduce inflammatory reaction avoid additional surgeries removal replacement. combines benefits bioelectronics stent technology single broaden range applications from neurological diseases disorders medicine.

Minimally-Invasive Neural Interface for Distributed Wireless Electrocorticogram Recording Systems

This paper presents a minimally-invasive neural interface for distributed wireless electrocorticogram (ECoG) recording systems. The proposed interface equips all necessary components for ECoG recording, such as the high performance front-end integrated circuits, a fabricated flexible microelectrode array, and wireless communication inside a miniaturized custom-made platform. The multiple units ...

Multi-electrode arrays technology for the non-invasive recording of neural signals: a review article

The recording of electrophysiological activities of brain neurons in the last half-century has been considered as one of the effective tools for the development of neuroscience. One of the techniques for recording the activity of nerve cells is the multi-electrode arrays (MEAs). Microelectrode arrays (MEAs) are usually employed to record electrical signals from electrogenic cells like neurons o...

Synchronized Multimodal Recording System for Laparoscopic Minimally Invasive Surgeries

Collecting data under regular conditions inside an operating room is a complicated and time-comsuming venture. Tight safety regulations have to be accounted for, like e.g. sterility, biocompatibility of materials, interference with regular workflow, and more. For recording high quality data, the different data-streams have to be precisely synchronized. The multimodal extendable recording system...

Compact, Multi-channel, Electronic Interface for Pns Recording and Stimulation

A multi-channel system for neural signal recording/stimulation is presented. The system is split on two devices: an implantable High Voltage (HV) CMOS integrated circuit (IC) hosting a sigma delta modulator, together with a low noise preamplifier/prefilter and a digital platform for sigma delta decimation/control implemented on a FPGA. This innovative approach guarantees a robust communication ...
